Macomb Community College Application Requirements
The application process for attending Macomb Community College begins with the student’s creation of an account with the college’s online system. Students will apply for financial aid, submit the official application for admission, and participate in a new student orientation via the internet. Students can begin taking classes in any season but must meet application deadlines for the session in which they want to enroll.
Once accepted, students must have their picture taken to receive a student identification card, take a placement test to determine which English and math classes the student can take, and complete a course planning session on campus with a counselor. Students who have already taken college classes or have life experience from previous work will want to apply to have those classes and experiences counted toward degree fulfillment requirements.
Tuition and Financial Aid
The tuition rate per credit for a Michigan resident who attends Macomb Community College is $102 per credit if the student is from Macomb County, a veteran, or a current member of the U.S. Armed Services. In-state residents who are outside the county will pay $190 per credit. Out-of-state students will pay a rate of $242 per credit. Some programs also require additional fees for supplies and laboratory time. The fire academy program adds a per-credit fee of $283, and the police academy program requires a per-credit fee of $360.
