Are you on the hunt for accredited online finance degree programs in Maine? Though Maine is a small state, it’s home to one of the top programs of its type in the world today. As the program takes place entirely online, you can even enroll and earn your MBA while living in a different state. An MBA program with a concentration in finance is often a better option than a typical finance degree because it gives you a better understanding of the business world as a whole and provides you with a degree that may lead to higher salary offers when you start your job search.
University of Maine
Maine Business School
The University of Maine is the main campus of the school system by the same name. While it has its flagship campus in Orono, there are campuses in six other parts of the state that operate under that same college campus as well as an online system. Founded in 1865, it has around 11,000 students and runs as a research institution. Enrolled students in all programs will learn strong and effective research skills as part of their studies. Despite its smaller size, the college, which many call Maine, is nationally ranked by publications like U.S. News & World Report and Washington Monthly.
Master of Business Administration in Finance
One of the more popular accredited online finance degree programs in Maine is the Master of Business Administration in Finance offered by the University of Maine. Designed with flexibility in mind, the university offers this program on campus, online and in a hybrid model. The hybrid program requires that students take one or more classes on campus each semester and lets them take all other classes online. Most full time students finish their MBA degrees in around 18 to 24 months, though part time students may spend around three years working on their degrees. Maine charges separate rates for in state and out of state students but offers a discounted price for students enrolling in the online program. Online students must agree to follow the university’s code of ethics, including agreeing to respect the opinions of others and do all their own work, as they take classes on accounting, managerial finance, financial accounting, business ethics and business laws.
