Master of Business Administration in Finance
This degree is designed to develop global leaders, according to the college. The MBA is offered at two satellite locations and the EMBA is offered every other Saturday in all-day format. This is a large university, with a combined student body of more than 40,000. It features the Hawk center for Applied Security Analysis, which offers extended programs and experiences in finance and security analysis. It offers a strong foundation in business principles along with emphasis courses. Master of Science in Finance: Applied Security Analysis
This degree “combines general business education with hands-on money management using the latest tools.” The two-year program features constant interaction with community business professionals. One of the features of the program is an applied-learning activity in which students manage three portfolios of equity and fixed-income investments valued at more than $50 million. This semester based university is ranked in the second tier of Best Colleges and National Universities by U.S. News and World Reports. The rank of the business school is not reported. The curriculum at the Lubar School of Business emphasizes critical thinking , analytical skills and communication. The school stresses interaction with both faculty and with peer students. The Lubar School of Business has built alliances with external businesses and professionals in the industry to offer students connections and networking opportunities. Tuition is $16,210 per year.
Master of Science in Management, in Finance
This degree offers an in-depth study of finance, including courses such as The Efficiency of Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Financial Institutions, Corporate Financial Control, Securities Valuation Techniques, and Capital Budgeting. Applicants to the program must have a bachelor’s degree, and experience (real or classroom) in finance management. If they do not, they must take foundational courses as determined by which concentration they choose. Foundational courses do not apply to the credits needed for the degree. There are 33 credits in the program: 21 credits in required courses and 12 in electives. Management students must select an advisor from a professor in their majors. Those in the management program may elect to do a management project which carries two to six credits. If this is selected, there will also be a final oral comprehensive exam. Students must finish the program in five years.

MBA in Finance
This degree program consists of four parts:
• Common Body of Knowledge (or Foundation) courses. There are 0 to 14 credits in this section. These are prerequisite classes that students may not have taken in their undergraduate study but which are imperative for the advanced classes of the degree program. They do not count toward the graduation requirements.
• Breadth requisites, which are 24 credits of business skills and knowledge.
• Emphasis Courses, which are the classes taken to build a concentration. Finance students must choose nine credits ( three courses) from Financial Planning Process, Real Estate Finance and Investment, Multinational Business Finance, Capital Budgeting, Portfolio Theory and Practice and Financial marketing.
• Electives, which comprise the final three credits in the degree.
Students may choose to complete their degree with a comprehensive oral exam, a thesis ( at an additional 6 credits) or a research project which consists of one to six units. Tuition for the 36 credit MBA is $3330 per semester.
